I can reprint any of them on request. Just ask for the ones you like by number.  The paintings are from my  Alien series,  The top two (numbers 5 and 6) are acrylic paintings on canvas.  The original painting (5) is 12 inches by 12 inches.   Number 6 painting was 10x8 and is no longer available, except as a print. Painting 7, Alien Animal is a mixed media on canvas 8 by 10 inch.  It is still available.  All art and photography by Jean Bourque c2022.   (artwork above by ArtJeanee, part of the Coffee Mandala Series) HELLO....  Every year the SC State Fair offers a wonderful opportunity to purchase art.  If you are an artist or photographer, you have an opportunity to show and sell your art or win one of the many awards they have each year. I have seen awards totaling more than $25,000. most years.  Delivery dates for the SC State Fair Fine Arts is Sept. 25 to Sept 27, 2022 to the state fairgrounds off Assembly St. in Columbia, SC. They do require pre-registration and that was by August 31, 2022.  The Fair will be held from Oct. 12-23, 2022. Be sure to check out all the art when you go!  At Earth Fare on Devine St. Columbia, SC Reception from 5-7 PM Fri Sept 16, I will be joined with four other artists in a group show with members of the  South Carolina Artists.  I will take pictures at Earth Fare of the Reception and Wine  Tasting  and post after the reception date.  Hope to see you all Friday!              

                                                   Photo from the Gemini Arts proposed for 2023                Some of you may know I have been looking for an art studio For several months ArtJeanee has scoured the greater Columbia, SC area looking for art studio space. Everywhere I have checked has been full or not ready. One of the  most interesting projects I have heard about is the Gemini Arts. A project by artist Ron Hagell, which will be located at 2847 Commerce Dr. Columbia, SC 29205.  They will be having a Hard Hat preview party on Sunday afternoon, September 18, 2022. Anyone that is interested may attend. They would love to hear from working artists and get your feedback. The event will be held from 2-5 pm.   9/3/22 Everyday should feel like a Saturday.  Everyday should feel like a Fun Day. Today is National Cinema Day. Many theaters are offering $3. tickets. The Nickelodeon is participating. Just a block away on Main St Columbia, SC Is the Columbia Museum of Art. Right now they are showing Impressionistic Paintings often inspired by the artists of Giverny the museum included some American artists that either visited the area or lived there, temporarily. American artists have often been inspired by  European art trends and artistic styles. Myself included, I studied impressionism with  the late Ilona Royce Smithken. She just passed this year. A tiny woman of less than five foot, but a giant in artistic style. At 101 years old, she left hundreds of students and fans. She achieved something few will, just by living to 101. Ilona, had a tv show on SCETV in the late 70's and 80's,  which also aired a few times during the 90's.  "Painting with Ilona". I loved paint...
